'Nip/Tuck' finale: 'Modern Family's' Eric Stonestreet guests

Date: 2014.05.21

"Modern Family" is airing a rerun Wednesday night, but an hour later you can catch the show's Eric Stonestreet in an original performance. Just don't expect a lot of laughs.

Stonestreet, who plays Cameron on the ABC show, is guest-starring in the season finale of "Nip/Tuck." He'll be playing a death-row inmate who's too obese to execute, so prison officials pressure Sean (Dylan Walsh) and Christian (Julian McMahon) into giving him liposuction in exchange for possibly letting Matt (John Hensley) go free.

?

So, you know, just another day at McNamara/Troy. I confess I've fallen off the "Nip/Tuck" bandwagon, but the brief glimpses of Stonestreet in the preview below has piqued my interest a little bit. If for no other reason than to see Stonestreet play a character who's vastly different, it might be worth a little DVR space.
